Studio C.K Lau  / Summer Exhibition 2009 at Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture de Paris

In a society where all productions tend to become uniform insidiously, while ignoring the cultural, historical or social, while architecture is struggling daily with the standards imposed by industry and government policies and architecture monuments arose either on the surface of the globe, schools are guaranteed the latest diversity of thought, positions and actions.

The Special School of Architecture was born there over 140 years, a revolt against academic. It has always regenerated in the fight inventive in its teaching and in its structures. Today, while all schools in Europe are arranged in a reform that the second effect could be a form of unified knowledge, ESA must renew its ancient promise to be special.
